Public Utilities

The City of Hickory Public Utilities Administration Division is responsible for ensuring proper management and operation of the Public Utilities Department. The Administration Division is directly responsible for budget preparation and management, meter reading, capital projects/planning and development, plan review and permit writing. Public Utilities manages the water and wastewater enterprise fund. The Public Utilities Department consists of the following divisions:
