HICKORY - Applying for City of Hickory jobs went entirely online March 2.
The City of Hickory Human Resources Department partnered with NeoGov Insight for the city's recruiting and applicant tracking processes.
The new online application system has eliminated the paper application process. Applicants can view job openings and submit an application at one of three kiosks at the Julian G. Whitener Municipal Building (City Hall) at 76 North Center Street, or from any computer that has Internet access. If no job openings are available, applicants can fill out an electronic interest card which will be kept on file for 11 months, and which can be renewed for an additional 12 months after that.
"The new process will save time and resources in the department," said City of Hickory Human Resources Director Joan Patterson. "Most of all, it offers a new and convenient way for job seekers to submit their information to the City of Hickory."
