N.C. Office of State Fire Marshal
Established within department of insurance, comprised of six divisions (1) engineering (2) manufactured building, (3) state risk management, (4) fire and rescue training and inspections (5) fire and rescue commission, and (6) prevention, programs, and grants. Through reorganizations and combination of resources, the safety services group evolved into the OFSM, offering a multi-tude of programs and services to the citizens of NC.
NCBIA- N.C. Building Inspectors Association
An organization of city, county, and state building code enforcement and administration officers, other individuals, companies and organizations, for the purpose of (1) to promote uniform understanding, application, and enforcement of all state and local building laws and regulations, (2) to cooperate and assist in the development of building regulations and standards, (3) to promote all means of increasing the level of professionalism and efficiency of local building inspectors, and (4) o create a better public understanding and appreciation of building regulations and their importance to the public health, safety, and welfare.
NCDOL- N.C. Department of Labor
Under state law, the NC department of labor is responsible for promoting the health, safety, and general well-being of more than 4 million workers. The laws and programs the department administers affect every worker, and virtually every person, in the state.
N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services- Standards Division
Requirements for fire safety analysis or alternative, including documentation, if the alternative meeting cannot resolve concern, and existing facilities.
N.C. State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating, and Fire Sprinkler Contractors
To protect the public health, safety, and welfare by prescribing the standard of competence, experience, and efficieny of applicants for license by examination.
N.C. State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors
To protect the life, health, and property of the public through examination of applicants, education of licensees and discipline of individuals to promote quality electrical contracting in accordance with general statues.

N.C. State Bureau of Investigation

AFSA- The American Fire Sprinkler Association
The American Fire Sprinkler Association, AFSA, is a non-profit, international association representing open shop fire sprinkler contractors, dedicated to the educational advancement of its members and promotion of the use of automatic fire sprinkler systems.
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from more than 15,000 types of consumer products under the agencies jurisdiction. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product incidents cost the nation more than $700 billion annually. The CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard or can injure children.
ATF Online- Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives
The mission of ATF is to conduct criminal investigations, regulate the firearms and explosives industry, and assist other law enforcements agencies. This work is undertaken to prevent terrorism, reduce violent crime and to protect the public in a manner that is faithful to the constitution and the laws of the United States.
