Park Information

The City of
Hickory has acquired over 183 acres of property approximately 1/2
mile south of Interstate 40 on Fairgrove Church Road. This property
was acquired with express purpose of encouraging economic development
through the creation of a high quality business park environment.
The City retained the consulting firm of Woolpert and Associates to develop
a master plan for the property. This plan includes a proposed layout of the
park, estimated infrastructure costs and grading estimates. The property is
zoned PO -IP (Planned Development --Industrial Park). The master land use plan
for the park proposes 18 lots ranging is size from 3.5 acres to over 27 acres
and the plan anticipates 1.331 million square feet of light industrial development
on a total of 183 acres.
