Sec. 2-3. Failure to attend meetings. |

Any member of any city board, commission, authority, council or other body whose members are appointed by the city council who shall, without good and sufficient reason, fail to attend three consecutive meetings of the particular body of which he is a member shall be considered to have abandoned and forfeited membership on such body. The term of office of such absentee shall thereby terminate, and the city council shall thereupon appoint a successor to fill out the unexpired term of such a person. |
