The bulletin boards and display areas of the Hickory Public Library will be reserved for information from the following institutions/organizations, listed in order of priority:The Hickory Public Library, Friends of the Library, library partner institutions/organizations, SALT Block organizations, City of Hickory, non-profit member organizations of the Catawba County Council for the Arts, and Catawba County and other local, State, and Federal Governments. Priority will be given to postings that relate to library partnership programming.The Hickory Public Library exclusively reserves the right to accept or reject any proposed postings or displays. The Marketing Coordinator has the authority to approve system wide postings and displays. The Ridgeview Branch Manager has the authority to approve Branch Library postings and displays. Department Heads have the authority to mount internally created or purchased displays. No information may be displayed that expresses singular religious or political beliefs, or that publicizes a commercial/for-profit enterprise.
