Library Sculpture
Beside the front entrance, the
library has a wonderful sculpture,
specifically commissioned for the area: "The Story" by James
Barnhill, a North Carolina sculptor.

The sculpture was placed in
honor of
E. Murray Tate, Jr., former City Attorney.

Although her book has no title
showing, Mr. Tate assures us she is reading
Treasure Island, and further it is the edition with
illustrations by N. C. Wyeth.
