“Food For Fines” Amnesty Week

Hickory Public Library’s “Food For Fines” Amnesty Week produced over 1,000 cans of food for Cooperative Christian Ministry’s food pantry. Patrick Beaver Memorial and Ridgeview Branch Libraries forgave fines totaling $1,052.55 in exchange for the food. Angela Miller, Library Assistant in the Circulation Department and Franklin Nettles, Food Pantry Maintenance Coordinator, are pictured packing some of the food that will be distributed to needy families during the holidays.
