Patrick Beaver Learning Resource Center Donations
The Patrick Beaver Learning Resource Center recently donated 25 new items to update the learning resource collection at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library. Included in the donation are several books by well-known authority Dr. Mel Levine, ADHD publications by Russell Barkley, “Demystifying Dyslexia” hosted by Bruce Jenner, books for parents with defiant children, and cassettes and tapes for use in the car or at home. Jennifer Griffin, Director of the Patrick Beaver Learning Resource Center, is pictured at left with Hickory Public Library Director Mary Sizemore.
The library has a variety of Spanish and bi-lingual materials to use outside of classes. Materials include books, videos, audiotapes, flashcards and kits. The library also carries Spanish language newspapers and magazines.
