Learn About High Definition TVs Before You Buy At a Free Library Seminar

Are you considering buying a high definition television or surround sound system?

Come to the library for information before you buy. Hickory Public Library is offering a free seminar on High Definition TVs, surround sound and HD DVDs. Ron Dees, computer expert and instructor, will lead the seminar on Thursday, April 19 th from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. The free class will be held at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library. Pre-registration is required.

This seminar will explain, in plain English, the different types of High Definition TVs that are available. Dees will highlight the pros and cons of each choice, and explain the surround sound stereos that may be used with these new TVs.  Sources of programming such as satellite, cable TV, HD DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs will be explained.
