Friends Taking Book Donations for Monthly Book Sale

The Friends of Hickory Public Library will hold their monthly “4 th Saturday Book Sale” on Saturday, May 26 th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library. While there are many books to choose from, Friends are also looking for book donations to add to their shelves. Paperbacks and children’s books are especially needed. All donations may be brought to the library Monday through Friday from 9:00-5:00 and Saturday from 9:00-12:00.

Prices at the sale are as follows: hard covers $1.00 or $2.00 depending on condition, paperbacks $.50, children’s books $.50 to $2.00, romance novels five for $1.00. Some books on tape, cassettes and videos may also be available. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Friends’ organizations at Patrick Beaver Memorial and Ridgeview Branch Libraries.
