Get A Clue About WWII at Hickory Public Library

Summer Reading at Hickory Public Library continues with a special program for children in the 4 th grade and above. “Get a Clue About WWII” and learn about secret codes, soldiers lives and food, and see a soldier in uniform. The free program is scheduled for Thursday, June 14 th at 2:00 p.m. at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library.

In addition to a secret code activity and a soldier snack and drink, all participants can make a poster to enter in the Cobblestone Magazine WWII poster contest. All materials will be provided. There will be samples of actual WWII posters on display.

The program is open to all boys and girls. You do not have to be registered for Summer reading to participate.
