Chocolate Fudge Mystery Unfolds at Hickory Public Library

“Cam Jansen and The Chocolate Fudge Mystery” is one of David Adler’s popular books. Come to Patrick Beaver Memorial Library to delve into this mystery and follow clues through a series of games. The program is scheduled for Thursday, June 21 st at 2:00 p.m. The free program is open to 2 nd graders and above. Participants should be able to read and write on at least a 2 nd grade level.

The mystery program includes games, a craft, and refreshments. After hearing the first chapter of “Cam Jansen and the Chocolate Fudge Mystery”, participants will play a memory game (you can see if you have an amazing memory); a “Hot Chocolate” game (like “Hot Potato”); several other mystery games in which you use your sense of smell, touch, and hearing; a craft where you uncover a beautiful drawing of your own to make a door hanger to keep; and finally: a refreshment involving, what else, chocolate.

This program is one of the special events in Hickory Public Library’s Summer Reading Program “Get a Clue @ Your Library”. Children do not have to be registered to participate, but may do so at this program. For information call 304-0500 ext. 249. Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is located at 375 3 rd Street NE on the SALT Block.
