Elderhostel educational programs for adults 55 and over are conducted at more than 1800 colleges, universities and other educational institutions in the United States and Canada and in more than 70 countries overseas. A wide range of low-cost, short-term liberal arts and science courses are taught at an introductory level by college faculty. Average tuition cost is $340 for one week, which includes meals, lodging and classes.
