Foster Grandparent Program Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Provides meaningful service opportunities to low-income senior citizens (20 hours per week). Provides information and referral, counseling, annual physical exams, enrichments trips, hourly stipends, and mileage for travel between work and home.
Green Thumb, Inc. / Experience Works! Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Provides employment and training opportunities for low-income older adults age 55 or older. Provides temporary and temp-to-permanent job assignments through Experience Works! Staffing service.
Handi-Care, Inc. Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Provides services to the elderly and disabled individuals that may have personal homecare needs. Offers non-emergency transportation for medical and other appointments, social outings, etc. Eldercare consulting - offers assistance in arranging and locating necessary services for any home-bound individual. Provides in-home-aides for the CAP, PCS, COG, and private pay homecare programs. Adult-Day Contact provides a day to day visit or call to check on the wellbeing of home-bound clients when family members are away. Sitter/Companion/Respite-Relief services to families. Offers used medical equipment at no charge to any individual for as long as needed as long as the equipment is returned when no longer needed. Licensed homecare provider. Employment opportunities for retired healthcare workers.
