The City of Hickory

Hickory provides many quality services that make the Hickory community a special place to live, work, shop and learn. We have 23 parks, five recreation centers, two senior citizens’ centers, two state of the art libraries, sidewalks, green space, and a staff that is committed to public safety and public service. More than 40,000 people live in Hickory and we are the center of the Greater Hickory Metro, which is home to more than 350,000 citizens.
