REWARD
On April 5, 2007 at 2:36 a.m. Hickory Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 1100 21st Avenue NE, a construction site consisting of one (1) completed set of condominiums and one (1) structure under roof. Upon arrival both structures were engulfed in flames. After further investigation by Hickory Police Department and Hickory Fire Investigator, it was determined that unknown subject (s) set the fire. L.D. Austin Company is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of person or persons responsible for the fire. ORIGINAL CHARGE: Armed Robbery On June 19, 2006, at 11:00 p.m., an unknown white male with dark complexion entered SunTrust Bank on N. Center St. and handed the teller a note advising that he had a gun and not to set off the alarms. The suspect was wearing an untucked blue long-sleeve flannel shirt or jacket over a lighter–colored shirt, blue jeans, an orange or red baseball hat with heavy black stitching (which appears to have been worn inside out), and dark sunglasses. He was driving a 1980’s model white Pontiac Sunbird, Sunfire, or Grand Am with a dark stripe down the sides and with no license plate displayed.
