The Public Services Department is located at 1441 9th Avenue NE. The fax number for Public Services is 323-7403. This department consists of several divisions: Central Services, Building Services, Engineering, Fleet, Landscape Services, Recycling, Sanitation, Streets, Public Utilities, and Traffic.

If there is an emergency, such as a waterline break or a tree across the road, and the Public Services Complex is closed call 323-7500, and your call will be forwarded and answered by the Hickory Police Department. They will notify emergency personnel on call who will respond as soon as possible.
